Lesson Schedule

Our lessons usually start at 10:15AM and 2:15PM. This allows time to warm up, get into your wetsuit, and go through what we’ll be doing in the water.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your lesson to allow time to get changed and get ready.

Warm-up exercises and run through the plan for the session.
Get into your wetsuit and grab your surfboard.
Start in the water: practicing paddling and prone techniques with guidance from your coach.
Learn how to pop up and catch your first waves safely.
In-water practice: instructors will give personalized tips and coaching to improve technique.
Debrief after your session, covering what went well and areas to focus on next time.
Receive your Holywell Bay School of Surf T-shirt to take home.

Safety

Your safety is our priority.

At H Bay School of Surf we provide you with the safest interaction possible.

We are diligent about checking the latest weather forecast and sea conditions. If the conditions are not suitable the trip will be cancelled. You will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

Blue sharks are very intelligent and will approach objects (including humans) very slowly and cautiously. Once they are comfortable with our presence they will become more inquisitive. We have the experience to monitor the well-being of each shark we swim with, providing you and the sharks with the safest encounter.

You will have a snorkel guide with you in the water at all times.

Safety ropes are also attached to the back of the boat for you to hold onto if you wish.
